Our Story
The Hansen Family built Handhills High-Country Hideaway RV and Tenting campground in the early 90's, in a poplar grove on generational family farm land and operated for 10 years. The Sopp family then purchased campground in the early 2000's and ran it for the next 20 years. During all that time the original Handhills High-Country Hideaway has remained a favorite among Travelers and locals alike.
Now the Dollimount Family has purchased the park and will Reopen the park to the public, for all to enjoy!
As new owners but 14 year tenants at HHH we have been camping seasonally here and have watched our children grow into adults and learn many new skills at the park. The park is reopening on May1 2024. HHH will again be fully open to the public with fully serviced RV weekend & Seasonal Sites. As well as a number of beautiful private tenting sites.
Note: There was a 3 year period after the pandemic began where another operator was running the park as an RV resort. They have moved on in the fall of 23' and closed that business down.
WE ARE OPEN TO ALL
